Nobody wants their baby to be uncomfortable with a diaper rash. Diaper rashes are caused by warm moisture building up around baby's bottom and irritation setting in. Baby can become very uncomfortable, with good reason! To get rid of diaper rash do the following things:
-
change baby frequently
-
wash baby's bottom with warm water and pat dry
-
when laying baby down for naps, put a clean dry cloth diaper on baby and open it up once baby falls asleep. The air flow will help baby heal faster.
-
protect baby from additional irritation with A&D Ointment or Desitin Ointment
If baby's rash gets worse or does not clear up within a few days, see your doctor.
