There are few greater challenges to face in cloth diapering than finding a good nighttime diapering system that keeps baby comfortable and the bed dry! Here are a few suggestions to get you headed in the right direction.
Don't put tight fitting clothes on baby. Baby should be in clothes that fit properly but do not fit so tightly that moisture wicks through to the bedding.
Don't give baby a bottle to sleep with at night. Babies will get hooked on bottles and later on will have sleep problems and tooth decay.
Don't put on hot heavy clothing. Baby should be comfortable at night but a baby that is too warm will wake up uncomfortable in the middle of the night.
Experiment with different diapering systems. Often you will need to try out a system for a couple of weeks to get the hang of how well the diaper system performs for your baby.
Be sure to use doublers at night. If you have a baby who sleeps through the night you will need a doubler for the extra time between diaper changes.
