We started cloth diapering with our first baby, born in 1996. We told everyone we were going to cloth diaper and received a lot of plastic diaper covers and polyester blend square “daipers” from well intentioned grandmothers and aunts who remembered cloth diapering in the “good ole days”! We just could not believe that diapering had not changed (so to speak) in so many years! So we started to look around on the internet and found some cloth diapering products from Canada and a few places in the U.S. We liked what we received in our orders but, there were things missing that we thought could be done better. We quickly started to sew our own version of a cloth diaper. We developed the separate leg “gusset” that helps contour the diaper to the baby’s body and protect from dreaded “blow outs”! We also tried different interiors for “stay dry” options and organic alternatives.
What we ended up with in the final production line was two alternatives to cloth diapering products. One is our fitted line that comes in different sizes to fit different baby sizes and ages. We also have a very versatile One Size option that allows you to fold and shorten the rise to fit baby. Along with lots of snaps, you can adapt the one size diaper to fit baby from very small through toddler! The one size is wonderful for families with multiple babies to diaper because you do not need one special diaper for one child and another diaper for another child.
We have micro chamois fleece for stay-dry interiors and cotton interiors for the ultimate in softness. The exterior fleece of our diapers is the highest quality WindPro available. It is simply the best fleece on the market and the only one we feel is worth our use of.
Organic SnugWees are available as well. We still have the fleece exterior of our diapers but with the organic flannel interior for a natural product against baby’s skin. |
